COACHING AND FIXTURES

Sunnybank Tennis offers coaching for all levels, from 3 years of age to adults

COACHING PROGRAM

• Little Legends - 30 minute classes designed specifically for children aged 3 - 5 year olds
• Hotshots - 45 minute classes designed specifically for children aged 5 - 10 years 
• Development classes - 60 minute classes designed specifically for children aged 8-16 years
• Squads - Students may be selected for participation in our squads and are restricted to Superleague and tournament players.
• Class sizes (except squads) are limited to 6 at the centre and 8 at the school venues.
• Student lessons are conducted at one of three venues:
  • Sunnybank Tennis Club, 29 Padstow Rd, Eight Mile Plains;
  • Macgregor Primary School; or
  • Warrigal Road Primary School.
• Adult group lessons are available on Tuesday evenings from 6.30-7.30pm

PRIVATE COACHING

Private lessons are conducted by a Junior Development Coach or a Club Professional Coach, for either 30, 45 or 60 minutes duration. Private lessons are by appointment only.

FIXTURES

• Sunnybank Tennis Club has an intraclub fixtures competition for juniors. These fixtures are offered on Tuesdays,  Thursdays or Fridays.
• Sunnybank Tennis Club also particpates and has teams registered in the interclub Super League competition run by Tennis Brisbane.  This competition is held on Saturdays from 2.00pm to 5.30pm.

ADULT SOCIAL TENNIS

Is organised and facilitated by Michael Filipesco and operates on Monday evenings from 7.00pm. In the event, that you would like to play on Monday evenings, please feel free to come to the courts and speak with Michael prior to commencing, regarding prices and duration. HOLIDAY CLINICS

During most school holiday periods we run tennis clinics for all levels. The next school holiday tennis clinics will be held during the Easter vacation from Monday 2 April to Thursday 5 April. Please contact Sunnybank Tennis Club for more information on 0414647262.

POLICIES RELATING TO WET WEATHER, MISSED LESSONS, PUPIL FREE DAYS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS:

• Lessons will be held on pupil free days at the Padstow Road centre only, not at schools.
• No lessons are held anywhere on public holidays.
• Lessons cancelled by Sunnybank Tennis Club, prior to their start time due to wet weather, will be conducted on a Saturday/Sunday - at a time to be advised.
• We are unable to offer replacement lessons for any reason other than due to wet weather (as detailed above). Please contact us only if there are exceptional circumstances for non-attendance, as your payment for the term is guaranteeing a place with a coach for a particular lesson time and day each week. It is not refundable.
